Introducing Au Ver a Soie Metallics... our newest thread line! We are very excited to have these new fibers in the shop and online.
At KC Needlepoint we love to add a little sparkle to our canvas! Au Ver A Soie Metallics come on a 10 meter spool. These threads are similar in texture to Kreinik. However, Au Ver a Soie is more loosely woven together and therefore a little softer than Kreinik. We currently have their #12 Braid and their #16 Braid in the shop. Au Ver A Soie Metallics are single strand threads. The #12 Braid can be used on both 18 and 13 count canvas (with looser tension), and the #16 Braid is really designed for 13 count. There is a slightly larger selection of colors in #12 Braid.
While the color palate isn't huge, they have some wonderful golds, coppers and silvers which always come in handy when stitching. There is also a lovely pearly white and fantastic Christmas greens and reds. We know these are bound to become staples both when kitting orders and in our personal thread stashes!
