Upright Cross Stitch is made up of a vertical and horizontal straight stitch over two canvas threads layered on top of each other like a plus sign.
Rows are offset, so these stitches fit very tightly together.
This is a great stitch for anywhere that you want to add a bumpy texture. It works well for dirt, hair and foliage.
