Silk Lamé Plus... your new favorite thread!

Of all the sparkly threads on the market, we sell more Silk Lamé Braid than anything else. It's easy to understand why though. Silk Lamé Braid has a beautiful soft sheen to it and looks elegant in any canvas. Silk Lamé Braid is also one of the easiest sparkly threads to work with. Plus it can go back and forth between 18 and 13 count canvas with looser tension. 

When Rainbow Gallery unveiled its newest thread line, Silk Lamé Plus, we couldn't have been more excited! The colors in the new type correspond across all types Silk Lamé Braid. The only difference being that Silk Lamé Plus color numbers begin "LM". While there are currently only 36 colors available, we are hopeful they will continue to add to the line!

Why do we love it so much? Silk Lamé Plus is a flat ribbon- similar to Neon Rays Plus (another one of our favorites). Silk Lamé Plus fills a much needed gap in the thread market. Because it is a flat fiber, it can go back and forth between 18 count and 13 count canvas with even better coverage than regular Silk Lamé Braid for 18. You don't have to be as mindful of your tension. While we still love Silk Lamé Braid for 13, we find it can be very thick depending on how much paint is on the canvas you are stitching. This is the perfect alternative to the two! We know you are going to love it.
