Criss Cross Hungarian Stitch is one of those knockout stitches that always gets compliments.

It is great for large open stitches and can be used anywhere on your canvas that you want to draw attention to.

Criss Cross Hungarian Stitch is known as a "composite stitch" meaning that it is made up of more than one part. Take a look at the diagram.

It is made up of groups of three stitches and cross stitches.

We recommend working the groups of three stitches first, and then coming back to fill in the cross stitches.

Criss Cross Hungarian Stitch was stitched in a combination of Silk and Ivory and Kreinik.
