Tied Scotch Stitch
Tied Scotch Stitch is a great variation on a regular Scotch Stitch. It can be used for borders or any 3 x 3 canvas thread square.
If you take a look at the diagram above, you will see that the tie stitch angles towards the upper left (in the opposite direction than the other three stitches). This can be done in the same thread or in a different thread for even more texture.
